This is a kick butt kit to learn the basics of guitar setup. And it sounds good even with the supplied pickups. You can swap in some better stuff and have a really nice tight playable good looking guitar. It's real value for the price.

The only thing I needed to touch was a small adjustment to intonation. Everything else was fine right out of the box. No fret sprout, excellent action and everything works as it is intended to. For an instrument in this price range I am very impressed with the performance and the quality of it. Thank you boys at Glarry for a job well done. John Velez, happy camper

Guitar looks nice. However, it's not very playable. The nut is way too high. Very hard to do a full F chord on it. I can fix that by removing the nut, sanding it down and regluing it. May have to sand the bridge down a bit. action may be high as well. Also, the built-in pickup is not very good. The high E and the low E strings are loud. The other 4 strings are not that loud when plugged into an amp. Guitar was poorly strung. At times when I tune it, I hear strings slipping at the brid ...

I'm very impressed! The GP Pro just got delivered today and it needed to be tuned tuned and it's and it's ready to play.I did lower the action to suit my style but your set up rivals name brand F & G's. I have 3 other Glarry bass's that took much longer to set up but hey have been improving over the years. Great sound in a little package. The positive - very nice sound, fretboard smooth, no fret issues, smooth and playable neck. Feels like a guitar. The negative - finish was done very quickly. Pictures are much nicer than what I received. Red paint is opaque (not transparent like pictures), dull finish, even paint drip in the front. I had my doubts about such an inexpensive guitar, much less fretless. I mean, for being one of the cheapest bass guitars on Amazon, it's not bad. But you can definitely tell it's a cheaply made instrument. As others have stated, mine too came with several blemishes, but nothing bad enough to me warrant a return. The tuning pegs are cheap, and I may try and replace them. Pros: looks nice hanging on my wall. Cons: two nobs wobble around like a joysticks, the bass isn't very loud on any amp or with any cable, even at max volumes on amp and bass, very quiet. Im assuming it is defective but at least I have wall art. Who has time to learn bass anyway.

This would be a great kit for the beginner guitar builder. As with most kits, you may want to think about upgrading the electronics but, you can definitely get the body finished, neck finished and wire it up for play easily. Instructions are better than some kits you can find.

Actually surprised on the quality for the price, it needs a setup which I need to do. Would I purchase another Glarry, yes I would. Shipping free which was nice, was delivered a little before 10pm though...was package great to prevent damage. The cable is open, checked with a ohms meter. .. I will be looking again for another guitar to customize in the near future. Thx T

Im very surprised at the quality and playability of this guitar!! Not only was it set just about perfect it also has perfect intonation across the whole fretboard! The finish on the body is beautiful however the neck is a little rough as it still has sanding marks left over but over all a great deal for the price!! Will buy another Glarry product again! Not to mention i like the Glarry over my squire classic vibe!

Received the Glarry GIB Active 6-String Bass Guitar with Upgraded Electronics. The unit was packaged well. Discovered the guitar was reworked. The headstock has a five inch long sliver that was 0.5 inches wide at the top that was apparently broken off and glued back on with white glue. I would like to update this review to FIVE STARS. While the bass had a cosmetic manufacturing defect, once Glarry management was informed, they immediately rectified the problem. The BIG Active 6-string bass guitar sounds and plays very, very good. The price makes it a real value. The Glarry service dramatically adds to that value. I'm looking to add more Glarry instruments to my collection.
