Well well well! What an incredible surprise this was!
I expected to invest a good day or two of my life setting up this instrument.
Apart from the high action and the slight intonation adjustment the instrument was perfect.
Excellent tone, awesome feel, beautiful sound, if someone would have handed me this instrument I would have never guessed the price is so low.
By far the best value for money in the musical instrument market. I would be most happy trying the upgrade, too.

I've been playing for over 55 years...guitar, bass, keys even banjo at times. I grabbed this 4 string fretless at Glarry's amazing price and I figured I'd give it a whirl. It did not disappoint. I've owned a number of brand name basses and this one holds its own beautifully especially as a fretless. Of course I'll set it up with my fave strings and get the action down to where I like it...that being said, it's absolutely playable right out of the box. Can't wait to try more of their products! So when ya spend $100 on a bass, you usually don't get much. However, this bass is very well built and has great tone. It's very light, so I recommend a thumbs down method of play. The neck dive is very minimal, the neck is satin and plays fast. This bass is a very good value and it was shipped perfectly on time and in excellent shape. The biggest thing to note is that it is 24 fret. That's almost nonexistent at this price (very rare in the bass market). The electronics are good, surprisingly good. Like all instruments, this bass needed a set up. Very, very easy set up; it was just slight intonation, action and truss adjustments. The tuners are great, she's been in perfect tune for two weeks. Overall, this is the best bass you'll get for $100. Now the cons (no instrument is without sin): due to the extreme lightweight, it's hard to control the juxtaposition of the bass when playing. Also, there is a lot of percussive reverb that comes from the bass due to its weight. If you play rock, metal or funk, you'll find this attractive. If you are holding down a groove on a soft mix, you'll find this frustrating. The output jack is in a poor location and you will need strap locks. Even with these cons, I still give this bass 5/5. I've been in the music industry for over 25 years and I proudly add this bass to my studio gear.

I am pretty happy with the end results, I'll start with the cons because it's a short list: there were a few chips in the paint on the bass when it arrived (somewhere around 2-4). This is likely a shipping issue more than Glarry itself, however they are so small and obscure you would have to know they are there and look straight for them in order to see them.

Now onto the pros: Price, price price. Glarry has put profit behind them and prioritized putting instruments into the hands of as many people that are passionate to get one as possible. This bass plays like any other bass and at a 1/3 of the cost of most mainline basses. Not to mention it looks way cooler and comes with a bag and a pick and some tools, wires and a strap. It's just overwhelming bang for buck and I respect prioritizing making it cheap and easy for everyone who wants an instrument to get one over profit. Can't stress it enough. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for one of the instruments available on this site.

Super pleased with the quality and playability. Would be a bargain at double the price. I was surprised how light this model is, after seeing reviews of the P and J models which noted "neck dive." No such problem with this model. Very pleased with it.
I have never touched an instrument before in my life. During quarantine, I just decided, "bass, why not." The price is NOT A SCAM!! Yes, there is some glossy finish that is peeling slightly at the corner, but that is an easy fix. I am 16 years old but the reported "thick neck" of the bass didn't phase me at all. I'm sure I haven't tuned it properly because I'm learning off youtube videos, but it sounds great, and that's coming from a jazz enthusiast. It's a relatively light guitar and isn't too ...

I'm sure I haven't tuned it properly because I'm learning off youtube videos, but it sounds great, and that's coming from a jazz enthusiast. It's a relatively light guitar and isn't too bulky either. The cord connects perfectly with my amp and the passive nature of the bass doesn't affect its quality at all. The only issue is that it shipped a day later than expected, but with the current problems of COVID-19, that is out of the company's hands. So, if you are looking to find a cheap bass that doesn't feel or sound like a cheap bass, THIS IS THE GUITAR!
Good luck playing!

I am a long-time guitar player who decided during Corona lockdown that this would be the perfect time to learn the bass. I didn't want to spend much money but I wanted quality. After searching all the usual retail locations for a used bass, someone recommended Glarry to me. I was able to get a basic bass for less than any of the used ones, but the quality is amazing. I keep it next to my desk in my home office and I've already learned several songs just by playing it whenever I need a break from work.
I've recommended Glarry to several people, and anyone who's looking for a beginner-priced instrument that has much better than beginner quality should consider Glarry. They also make great modding platforms if you're into doing your own custom guitar work.

Had friends play it who own Name brand P basses and they loved it.

Now I just recieved the Glarry J Bass and No Lie, this is gonna be My Geddy lee tribute Bass...needs very little, but with a Badass bridge and maybe some 80's pups this is Gonna Be a Daily player !
Thank You Glarry! I now own six of your wonderful instruments and look forward to getting more.
I own 2 Glarry guitars. One bass, one guitar. They are a great value for the money. Are they as good as a $2,000 guitar? No.
But they are great for a new player. They are fun to play, Light. You can upgrade them and make them great. You should put new strings on them at least.
Maybe file the ends of the frets. If you put new Tuning pegs and pickups for a grand total of $200 in upgrades =$300 it would be as good as a $2,000 guitar to 99% of listeners.

I'm a first time bass player, but play and own many 6 string electric and acoustic guitars so i can definitely spot quality. This bass has it! The fit and finish are spot on with no cosmetic flaws. The pickups themselves had become unadhered to the pickup housing in shipping so i did have to superglue them before i was able to play the bass. Easy enough. After noodling around with the bass a bit i feel that it's very playable. It's very lightweight which i can appreciate b/c i'm a small statured female. The neck is quite large (something i'm not used to with my guitars) but i can still reach the E string easily enough. The fretwork is above average with no sharp frets. As for the tone I can't really comment on since this is the first bass i've played. But paired with a small Fender Rumble 15, the sound is crisp and clear and fret buzz is very minimal. The buzzing is probably attributable to my novice playing. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase!

Set up very well, near perfect intonation and action. Straight neck. Electronics give off a slight buzz when DI into system when all 4 knobs all the way up. Frets beveled nicely on ends. Back of neck needed more sanding, has some rough spots. Shipped with brand new strings. Low B doesn't buzz which is amazing. Sounds excellent with a good pre amp. I bought the Jazz Bass in White. Body has scratches by the bridge where the strings load in. Fit and finish are good, neck joint is tight and clean. Neck is not a Jazz Bass profile, it's kind of in between the Jazz and Precision feel, slightly chunky, but very playable. Hardware does what it is supposed to, tuning keys are ok, probably the weak point of the whole bass. Electronics all function as they should, no grounding hum or buzz. Pick ups sound like Jazz Bass pickups should. I would like to ...

Pick ups sound like Jazz Bass pickups should. I would like to see Glarry make Basses with Maple fretboards since I prefer them myself. Over all balance of this Bass is good, it's not neck heavy at all. I use a padded shoulder strap and it keeps the Bass right where I like it. I would say this Bass plays better than a Squier Affinity Series, but not better than The Classic Vibe or Vintage Modified. Is it worth $80?...…….Yes, I would say it is! I'm going to use it as my Church Band Bass, I'm more comfortable taking the Glarry Jazz Bass instead of my $700 Fender Mustang. Good job Glarry, this instrument exceeded my expectations.
Just got the j bass in the sunset finish . 3 guitars and 2 basses later and I've yet to be disappointed ! I've been playing 45+ years and you couldn't get anything this inexpensive for the quality back in the day ! Rock on Glarry !
Cant believe the quality in this bass. Ive been a bassist for about 20 years and this plays right up there with any jazz bass ive played. Great job making a quailty instrument
Arrived in a great condition being only in one box. Finish is absolutely stunning, I love this yellow. So from the headstock down. Tuning keys perfect, no buzz or rattle, haven't found any buzzing frets. A very minor setup made the action perfect. The neck is a raw but smooth surface, I didn't find the neck to be as chunky as others have described it. I've had no snap crackle or pop out of any electronics. The overall impression of this bass is 10 out of 10. For the price it's an amazing deal an ...

I have played guitar for nearly 60 years. As of late I have been starting to do some recording in a small home studio. I have never played bass, so I decided I would try to do my own bass lines. The finish is perfect, the neck was straight, the runners were tight and smooth. Strings were ok. The electronics were very quiet for single coil pumps. The bridge and saddles worked fine, not high dollar stuff but functional. I received the guitar in cold dry weather which is responsible for the few fret sprouts. The frets were level so I dressed the ends, lowered the nut a bit, set the action and it plays great. Buy this bass. If you cant do it, have set up and you will love it. Any new guitar I have ever owned needed set up some worse than others. That's why I learned to do it. This is truly a great value, shipping was fast and best of all I can play it and it records well. Great job Glarry. I don't know how you do it for the money.

He is now wanting to buy the Jazz version of this bass and possibly a bigger amp. It was definitely a good purchase and for an entry level bass, I will rate it 5 stars for price and quality.

Let me say, I absolutely could not be happier that I did so! It's honestly a bit baffling how Glarry was able to make such a quality instrument for such an insanely affordable price. It easily compares with basses that are four (or more) times the price, no question. I absolutely love this instrument and am so so glad I decided to purchase: thank you Glarry for making a wonderful instrument that we all can afford! It truly is appreciated!
Really happy with this purchase. The guitar looks great, sounds really good and feels well built and sturdy. Came with a tiny bit of fret buzz on one or two frets, but nothing a 5 minute set-up couldn't fix - and most basses need a little adjustment out of the box so that's to be expected. The head is also a tiny bit heavy in comparison to the body when it comes to overall weight balance - but this is a minor gripe indeed and the bass still plays comfortably and sits well. The bass is very solid! I owned a $3000+ bass and it was my pride and joy for years. However, due to family matters, I had to let the instrument go for money. I purchased this pbass and I instantly felt how solid the instrument is! It was as if the instrument had been setup prior to being mailed to me. I love it! I'm working with a family member on a record and it is being put to work straight out of the box!
I love this bass guitar. It's playable right out of the Box, And the quality is great. You can't go wrong especially at the price level, This bass guitar is worth every penny. Is the quality as good as a Fender precision ,bo, but do you get a Mercedes Benz for a Kia a price? I would recommend this guitar to anybody, don't hesitate just buy it and start playing. you can't go wrong for the price
I'm a 40-year veteran bassist and I'm extremely happy with my glarry precision bass and Jazz Bass. I cannot believe the sound and quality I received at such a small price. I will be using these bases in live performances as well as some recordings along with my music man and Fender basses. I also purchased a Telecaster for my son and he's extremely happy with it. I'm looking forward to receiving a fretless bass and a 5-string bass from you all. Thanks again for all you do for us.
