I ordered another really cool guitar for him, but I'm saving it for his birthday. He saw the box and knew we had just looked at that guitar a couple of nights before. They come really fast :)
Now he will get the surprise for Chanukah and the other one for the birthday.
With this price I could afford two guitars.
Arrived in pristine condition. Finish and fit are awesome, a beautiful instrument! I wanted to explore 5-string bass and this bass feels incredible! After a setup and intonation it performs beautifully. Lovely grain and the pickups really deliver. If a maple fretboard becomes available I will purchase another!
Loved my new Bass! I do have small hands and the neck is a little on the big side, plays well and very sensitive. There were some small scratches when it arrived which was kind of sad 'cause it was brand new. I did give a 5 star but a 4.7 would have been what I wanted to do, but round up you know.
Got this for my son for his birthday. Pretty solid instrument for the price. Was pretty much ready to go out of the box with a couple of minor tweaks. Really hard to beat the product for the price.
It had came with this pretty noticeable and big crack from shipping or when it was being packaged, but otherwise it was good.

My purchase came in a few days, out of the box, no damage. With a few minutes of cleaning and tuning, the bass was ready to go. I have changed a few things on it. Went with gold colored parts. Looks awesome and plays/ sounds great!!
I bought this bass for a school in the Philippines, and it is a perfect size for the students, and after setup it plays and sounds great. Note the "after setup" part. The intonation was so bad out of the box that I thought the frets were misplaced, and considered returning it as defective. It needed a TOTAL setup, as it wasn't even close, and was totally unplayable out of the box. Truss rod, saddle height and intonation all required major adjustment. As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. I'm taking a jazz group and decided to replace my u-bass with this. I expect to be happy with it, but want to note several concerns. 1) The screws covering the truss rod cover spin in their holes (I've heard this stripping can happen during manufacture); 2) the strings are quite rough (for a u-bass player) so I looked into flat wo ...As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. After reading tons of reviews and watching so many videos, we decided to try this one. So we ordered it, albeit with some trepidation.
We received it yesterday and my husband is surprised that it is actually better than he thought it would be. It does need a professional setup to make it true tonality wise, but he can do that himself. However, one could actually begin learning on this instrument even without that. One of the frets does have a sharp edge, also something that is easily taken care of. He plugged it into his Fender Bassman 800-watt amp and he was happy with the sound he got with this micro bass. We chose the natural finish because I am thinking of adding a dark blue cosmic vinyl skin to make it into a very nice bass for our daughter to use for learning & studying the bass guitar.
Overall, my husband and I think that it was worth what we paid for it. The adjustments are not a deal-breaker as he likes the challenge. And this is a real instrument! There are several well-known artists who use a short scale bass due to the difference in sound as compared to a standard bass guitar. So we're keeping this one and hope that it will become a part of our musical family.

Probably not a project that a novice would want to undertake, but it does provide an example of what can be done with this bass. The basic "bones" are good, materials solid, fit and finish is OK - nothing to complain about at this price point. Good instrument for kids or adults looking for a short scale bass.

The primary reason for this specific guitar is because she is 4'9" and I felt the smaller style would fit her stature better. She had expressed a desire to find a smaller bass as well... so this seemed like the right choice. I watched several reviews on YouTube of various small bass guitars, and this specific guitar GW101 was used by by a 12 year old young woman with the name EllenPlaysBass and she gave it a very solid review. Neither I or my grand daughter have guitar experience, so this purchase was based more on wants, needs and price for an introduction. It must have been a winner! She got it out of the box and started to play it immediately, and her mother indicates it sounds very good. (I am in another state). She loves the Red color, and says it had no visual imperfections or issues. From order to arrival was less than 5 days.
Tuning pegs broke after barely turning it while tuning. very disappointing. need a refund!!

Now, as always, there were issues that come with any budget instrument, particularly one this cheap.
1. The neck was bowed and there was ZERO tension on the truss rod. A few turns of the included allen key, and the neck straightened right up.
2. The outside edges ...I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a budget instrument out of the box. The bass arrived quickly and well packaged. I don't think I've ever written a five star review for anything, but this bass is an exception.
Now, as always, there were issues that come with any budget instrument, particularly one this cheap.

2. The outside edges of the nut are cut very bluntly. It won't cut your hand, but running into that sharp plastic is quite uncomfortable. 60 seconds of light sanding with one of my girlfriend's emory boards fixed the issue.
3. The poll pieces of the pickups are not properly aligned. This is more of a rule than an exception, especially with instruments of this price range. I notice no significant change in the volume of the affected strings.
The first two issues were easily corrected and the third doesn't seem to affect tone, volume, or playability.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bass to a beginner, or a seasoned player like myself looking to expand their tonal arsenal.

As a girl who is more on the petite end of the spectrum I can say that this bass works pretty good from a beginners perspective its my first bass and ive been able to reach all the frets just fine. Although its definitely up to a standard far past beginner I have enjoyed its size and weight discounting the non even distribution there of.
Really nice guitar, I like mine but I also ordered a stand with the guitar, it hasn't arrived yet. but the guitar is really nice. I recommend.

Glarry has really stepped up their game. The Gjazz Bass is beautiful. The finish is flawless. I use Glarrys as the basis for heavily modified builds. Is was planning on painting the body, but the finish was so nice I'm going to keep it natural (burlywood). For the price, you can't beat the quality.
I purchased an electric bass guitar from Glarry Music, and I've been extremely satisfied with it. On a hunch, I bought a whole new guitar hoping the action was better and it is both perfect and adjustable. Easier to play than my full size guitars as the frets are closer together. Sounds great. Learning bass guitars do make you stand out from the crowd. The lead guitar usually expresses the face and sound of the band with an exaggerated feel, but behind it is a bass guitar that brings vitality to the same band. The bass player usually calmly performs his own performance, making the entire band's energetic heartbeat continue to beat.
Playing a electric bass guitar is easy to learn, but it's hard to master, it all depends on where you want to match. Bass guitars are very easy to get started, most people can master the basics and start playing right away, but learning best bass guitars can also be very advanced, because it is an easy-to-use instrument that can be almost as infinite as possible. The right quality of the correct tuning and playing bass guitar and the richness of the rich tones are truly fascinating. Being a bass guitar player and being able to create such a sound yourself is still a much more exciting.
