This makes Glarry #5 for me. I think they are very good for the price. They sometimes have minor imperfections and need a good set-up but you end up with a playable , decent looking guitar. Some people spend more, (sometimes MUCH more) for one guitar , than I have invested in all 5 of these. Only way a poor guy like me could have this many guitars to play with.

I adjusted the neck it plays pretty well, paint was pretty solid, it was packaged pretty ugly. The gig bag was cheap but the guitar overall sounded and built pretty well. They filed the 6-8 frets down so it clinks when I I strum low e on the 6th fretboard, but overall for the money it was absolutely worth it.
Overall it has been a good guitar for the price. Expect to do some fret dressing and string setup (intonation, action, etc) after changing to new strings. I also sanded the neck with 1000 grit sandpaper for a silkier feel. It is a really good looking guitar and I use it as one of my main practice guitars. My son has also started to play and uses this one quite often.
As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. I'm taking a jazz group and decided to replace my u-bass with this. I expect to be happy with it, but want to note several concerns. 1) The screws covering the truss rod cover spin in their holes (I've heard this stripping can happen during manufacture); 2) the strings are quite rough (for a u-bass player) so I looked into flat wo ...As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. Plus, if I get someone to set it up for me, I'll have put more into it than it cost. (Plus purchase of a padded gigbag) But maybe that's a good deal, who knows?
pretty good. takes some time to get used to the odd shape especially when you sit down. case came scuffed up but not too much of a worry. very cheap, good quality considering that.
As a girl who is more on the petite end of the spectrum I can say that this bass works pretty good from a beginners perspective its my first bass and ive been able to reach all the frets just fine. Although its definitely up to a standard far past beginner I have enjoyed its size and weight discounting the non even distribution there of.
For less than $100, you literally cannot beat it. Had mine for about 2 days now, plays great, sounds great, literally no complaints. Obviously this isn't the cleanest luthier job i've ever seen, i can see glue inside, marks from filing, etc, but if you're spending this little on an acoustic bass, you can't complain. It plays and sounds great, comfortable, and as an intermediate bass player of 10 years, I can actually say I recommend this bass, as long as you aren't paying more than $100.
I received a very playable instrument that is a great start for those interested in trying 6-string bass. The neck was pretty well setup, and the intonation is perfect through the 24-fret. It's really an amazing instrument for less than $150.
The placement of the cable jack is odd (being above the bass tone control), but it isn't a problem using wireless or an angled cable ( which would ideally be included instead of the straight cable), and the pickups are the same length— so the C string is ...I received a very playable instrument that is a great start for those interested in trying 6-string bass. This doesn't seem to impact the sound too much, though.
I've been looking an expensive 6-string and wanted to see how I liked playing a 6-string before spending more. I'm having fun with my Glarry and might not bother getting a more expensive one!
Fun little kit! As a kit it isn't a challenge but when you're done you have a ok cheap little guitar. Nothing a serious guitarist would want but it plays and for the price it's amazing.
wonderful rig, just has some bridge issues and neck issues. just a bit of setup is required. its GREAT for beginning guitarists and luthiers. definitely ordering more from here.
guitar is beautiful and nice! amp is good as well but i did not receive the bag for this guitar..i assumed it was an add on purchase but apparently it was supposed to come with the combo which i unfortunately did not receive :(
Purchased this for myself and two grandchildren to use to augment our standard guitar playing. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in excellent condition. Did a simple setup and changed out the strings and I've got a nice instrument with a good future "mods" base. Remains to be seen how it will hold up under extended use, hence the only 4-star rating. Had what I suspected was an electrical issue with one of the pickup modules which turned out to be just in need of some setup tweaking. ...Purchased this for myself and two grandchildren to use to augment our standard guitar playing. Have to give a shout out to "Lynn" in customer service for her response in this matter and in general to my whole order of instruments, amps and a guitar stand. Very responsive to customer concerns and to following through with any issues and keeping me apprised of my order status through completion! Thanks, Glarry for making this a good transaction all around. Keep listening to customer
concerns and suggestions and moving forward with design and production improvement.
Purchased this for my granddaughter who is already becoming an accomplished musician as she enters High School. She chose this model herself from all of the Glarry products. It is a beautiful guitar which arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in perfect condition. The simple strap, amp cord and picks were a nice plus and the hex wrenches for adjustments are handy as it needed a setup out of the box, unlike the other guitar which was sent at the same time. Guess it's a hit or miss with these ...Purchased this for my granddaughter who is already becoming an accomplished musician as she enters High School. Guess it's a hit or miss with these. It was relatively simple to make the necessary setup adjustments needed and it was up and going in a short amount of time. This is an excellent base for a beginner and as a future "mods" platform. Certain my granddaughter will give it a good workout! Remains to be seen how it will hold up, hence the only 4-star rating.
I purchased this for a granddaughter as her "electric" guitar to augment the acoustic guitar she already has. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in excellent condition with everything needed to begin playing. I was impressed that it was fairly well setup right out of the box! Checking against given setup specs from professional guitar techs for "strat" setups, it measured up admirably. Can't beat the price. I picked this bass up as a take anywhere no worries instrument. I've played it every day since I received it the sound is great. I do have to tune it alot but the strings are new so that's expected. Tuner works great. Action is high but and easy fix. I have yet to plug it in so I'm not sure about the electrical side.
The guitar is great, it sounds great feels great and everything. The guitar can use some better strings however but other than that the guitar is fine. The amp on the other hand not so much, it doesn't have the sound quality it should, especially when being overdriven. Maybe this is because of my playing style etc. The amp most definitely isn't worth it unless you're playing on a clean tone. It's not impossible to use but it won't give you the vibe you think it will in overdrive.
Fun, with surprisingly decent sound for the $ Body (while tiny) is much thicker than it could be - and considerably thicker than most full-sized instruments. Neck and fretboard are well made. Electronics and output jack are sub par.
Had to deepen the nut slots, shim the neck, and adjust string height and intonation but after that, the guitar stays in tune and plays good.its a great value if you can do a little setup work.
I mean, for being one of the cheapest bass guitars on Amazon, it's not bad. But you can definitely tell it's a cheaply made instrument. As others have stated, mine too came with several blemishes, but nothing bad enough to me warrant a return. The tuning pegs are cheap, and I may try and replace them. The tuner works well, which I seem to be using a lot due to the pegs.

Actually surprised on the quality for the price, it needs a setup which I need to do. Would I purchase another Glarry, yes I would. Shipping free which was nice, was delivered a little before 10pm though...was package great to prevent damage. The cable is open, checked with a ohms meter.
.. I will be looking again for another guitar to customize in the near future.
Thx

The good: Surprisingly well manufactured for its price point, with no fret overhang and the electronics all worked as expected. The tone was surprisingly good.
Not so good: The intonation was not set, meaning that the bridge saddles were not adjusted to ensure that notes are in proper pitch as you play higher up the neck. After setting the intonation I discovered that with this scale the 4th string (E string in standard tuning) will always be slightly sharp on higher frets without reinstalling ...The good: Surprisingly well manufactured for its price point, with no fret overhang and the electronics all worked as expected. This isn't a total deal breaker in a student instrument however.
Overall this bass appears to be a good value but it needs to be set up by a professional to be truly playable as this is not done in its manufacturing.
I ordered the natural wood version of this bass. I'm a semi-pro jazz musician who gigged regularly for about 10 years and I have a lot of basses. I ordered this one to turn it into a piccolo bass -- the same as a regular bass but tuned an octave higher. I use it to front a band.
I was hoping the shorter scale (25.5") of this bass would make the string tension lower so it exaggerated the kind of buzzy sound you get with a piccolo bass -- a feature of its sound that distinguishes it from a gui ...I ordered the natural wood version of this bass. I was hoping the shorter scale (25.5") of this bass would make the string tension lower so it exaggerated the kind of buzzy sound you get with a piccolo bass -- a feature of its sound that distinguishes it from a guitar. It didn't make much of a difference compared to my other 30" piccolo basses. But it still sounded good.
My biggest concern is the finish on the bass. It's almost as if it's the bare, unfinished wood, but not quite. While lack of finish does improve the sound of a bass (more resonance), too little finish makes the wood susceptible to dirt, grime, and stains. This natural wood finish doesn't seem to have much of a coating on it. That's my only complaint.
April 29, 2024 Update:
I returned the natural wood version of this bass and replaced it with the red one. The red one has a much nicer, and apparently more durable finish than the natural wood one. I compared them side by side and the red one outshone the natural wood one by a long shot. So, I think this is a very good, playable regular bass for someone starting out or who has small hands. It makes a mighty fine piccolo for a regular scale bass player took and looks and sounds just fine.
The guitars is one of the three major musical instruments in the world originated from Spain, which is divided into acoustic guitar and electric guitar, which have obvious differences. Ukulele is small exquisite and easy to carry, easier to learn and play.
