I bought this guitar on sale as an early Christmas gift last year. Aside from various cosmetic issues like scratches from sandpaper and a chip near the neck joint i had high hopes for it as a cheap backup. Unfortunately it also has an assortment of other issues.
*The string nut was cut so low on every slot that its impossible to play without major buzzing unless the action is astronomical high even though the neck is straight. Not to mention that the G string slot is so low that its almost touching the fretboard. Fresh out of the box it needed a new string nut.
*grounding issues in the electronics causing Loads of buzzing unless you are touching the knobs, bridge or strings.
*some frets were cut so low that i literally have to replace them.
I understand that to make equipment like this cheaper you have to cut cost somewhere, but quality control at the end of your production line isn't the place to do it. In short it's going to easily cost me as much as the guitar was purchased for just to get a tech to repair this factory new instrument so its actually playable.

After learning that my shipment had some defects the customer support team at glarry jumped in like lightning to help straighten it all out! That alone is worth changing my review to 5 stars. Now i really wish i would have contacted them first regarding my issues instead of posting a harsh review like i did.

Deliver and packaging were exactly as described. Guitar is nice. But there seems to be a short in the of some sort in the amp. The power light does not always work and there is a constant humming.

Customer service is excellent. My guitar and amp came as expected. There was a slight issue with the amp and Lynn took care immediately. I will buy from them again strictly because of the customer service.
I like the finish of the body of the guitar - see through blue revealing some would pattern. Unfortunately, the body of the guitar does not make it playable. The pick-ups are of poor quality. But even worse is that the saddle was way too high and the factory's inspector should never have shipped it out. So why did they? But even worse is that the saddle was way too high and the factory's inspector should never have shipped it out. So why did they? It is an attempt to hide the improperly installed truss rod - and frets installed improperly. But the action was so high because of the nut it is not fun to play and notes go out of tune. When I lowered the saddle and tried to lower the nut the buzzing and so forth was unserviceable. I would return it but the price isn't worth it. Instead I turned it into a project guitar and I am ordering an affordable Canadian Maple neck with properly installed working truss rod, frets, and especially nut. I will update the machine heads with affordable locking ones with a good ratio, and after the neck is ready and installed will install good quality strings. If the pick-ups still are poor once the neck and action are playable I may switch out the humbuckers with some upgrades and make sure the wiring/soldering is improved. There is no excuse for shipping out a guitar with an improper nut and with a poorly crafted neck - frets and truss rod. Not a guitar for beginners as it requires too much work to make it playable and enjoyable to play so it doesn't sit in the closet.

I have done some other reviews and pointed out other Glarry guitars/instruments I recommend for a new player. This guitar for the affordable price is excellent for an experienced player who likes small projects and like the finish of the body and can make adjustments typically performed by a Lutheir.
Upon receiving this Guitar and started unboxing it, I found it packed reasonably pack for it's price point. Double boxed but if FedEx decided to knock it around, I fear this would have been a different topic. So, after removing all loose wrappings I gave everything a quick visual inspection and found Nothing broke or Visually damaged... After rummaging around, I found a required 9volt battery (NOT INCLUDED) I attempted it's first power up... And NOTHING! GREAT! (not so much)

SO... It's always a bad sign when you have to trouble shoot anything that's BRAND NEW! Breaking out a flashlight and started inspecting the inside body of the guitar and found that the Power leads that run from the on-board 4-band EQ with low-battery-display to the Battery / Cable enclosure was DISCONNECTED! Apparently during assembly who ever Zip-Tied the extra length of leads disconnected it from it's power source and LEFT IT! So remover the 3 screws holding the Battery/connector and removing it. Then Working through the hole in the body, I slowly and gently pulled the power leads out of the zip-tie so I had the full length to make reattachment of leads easy. Replaced battery unit and screws and Everything now works.
Now for the amp... A little touchy and loads of feedback if too close. But Really a Nice rig for the price.
NOW in general, For a $100 acoustic guitar... After giving it a good string stretching and tuning, Not So bad.. Just be aware that Glarry Quality Control seems to turn a blind eye to details. But for now, I'm reasonably satisfied with this purchase.
Didn't play very well. Microphonic pickups not replaceable with standard telecaster parts.

I purchased a Glarry guitar to see what you get for under $100. I was impressed that it looked like a regular telecaster and was incredibly light. However, there were many issues that would require most folks to spend an additional $200 or so correct. The intonation was way off. The string height was way too high. Two of the three screws that hold the bridge on were stripped in the wood. Six of the frets required leveling and all frets required polishing and end-filing. The neck was rough and needed sanding/steel wool. The nut was crudely done and required fine-tuning. After a couple hours with my guitar tech tools I had a playable instrument which I will feel good about donating to a local home for kids.

I was just looking for something low-budget to start learning and this product was almost perfect. The only problem I have is that one of the wires on the output jack on the guitar wasn't soldered on. I don't own a soldering kit so I had to loop the wire around the contact until i can get it fixed. It works but it's not ideal.
Looks beautiful, affordable, and also was delivered within 3 days of purchase
Fret markers are sharp. Need to be sanded a bit and had to pay for it to be set up professionally the neck was bent so bad.

This bass is amazing! This is my third product I've purchased from Glarry and I plan on getting many more! Anytime I have an issue the staff at Glarry goes above and beyond to make it right! Best company around !
Seems to be an ok guitar for the money but took patience and several adjustments to get the harmonics set. So it would finally tune correctly.

OK I have played 60 years. For the price of this guitar, if you know how to set up an instrument, it's definitely worth it. Needed complete set up out of the box. Now… Once I got it, nearly tuned up and adjusted string height and intonation… Sounds surprisingly good with the neck pick up. And I have a 1966 telecaster with Maple cap and hum bucker. It is nowhere near that guitar but… It is entirely playable especially if you'd like a thicker neck. Some people will not like the neck I don't mind it. It could be shaped a bit better…. bottom line… Was $128 with free delivery and the little amplifier. Haven't tried the amp. i got worried at first because the amplifier didn't come with the guitar in the package, so i feel like it should be added into the description that it will be shipped separately. the guitar came with a few scratches on it which are barely noticeable but still, it looked a bit used. over all tho, its a really cool guitar!! it sounds great.
For the price, you can't ask for a whole lot more. The amp isn't perfect for a bass and mine came without lower pickups, for which I was offered the FAQ page and a $10 credit. But it's super affordable and a decent guitar, I can't wait to hear her with the pickups where they belong.
The item I ordered was the upgrade with Wilkinson pickups and bone nut. The item I received doesn't have these. I have notified Glarry and waiting for a reply. It is a very nice guitar but not the upgrade I ordered. 5 stars instead of 3 for the correct product.

As some other customers have suggested, I now too agree that Glarry instruments are lax about their quality control standards. This guitar looks very nice, and the body especially looks nice with a good paint job. The piece is pleasing to look at. The amp has a constant hum. The 5-way switch cap fell off the first time I touched it. The balance is good for a entry-level unit and the intonation is fair. 2 stars for the hum, because, well, it hums. Also, it distorts even a clean effect and any kind of flange comes out as waffling.

After all the glowing reviews and impressive youtube videos, I decided to give this a try. I wasn't expecting much for $90, but this was nothing like the basses I saw on youtube. The strings were unplayable. They felt like rat-tail files. The mounting holes for the pickup screws were too far apart, so the assembler put the screws in at an angle. This drove the pickups down into the cavity where they were jammed on the angled screws. I had to fill two holes with epoxy (one for each pickup) and redrill them at the right spacing. After that and replacing the strings, I was able to play the bass. It sounds nice, but it feels every bit like a $90 bass. I improved the playability a little by sanding the neck and giving it four coats of danish oil followed by a good rubdown with a soft cloth. Bottom line, if you get lucky and get a good one, it's okay. Get a bad one and you will have to return it or fix it.

Its decent for the price, the neck has no oil in the wood. The B string was already falling apart and does not resonate well. Frets are set nicely, build is good. Not playable out of the box at all. Need to finish doing a set up but that is to be expected for a $150 bass.

Overall the bass is pretty nice. It's put together well and plays great. The one (big) problem is the electronics are messed up. Each knob acts as a volume AND tone control which makes it really difficult to dial in a tone. I haven't looked in the cavity yet, but I figure they must all be wired together for this to be happening. I like the bass enough to keep it, but not enough to use it until I get the wiring fixed.

My guitar came with so much black from the edges that my entire guitar looks black. I can only see some blue in the brightest sunlight and no woodgrain. A small issue I guess but it was my deciding motivation. I certainly cannot complain about the price however.
