This bass arrived in excellent condition and was easy to tune. The pickups sound good, although output was on the low side. Very lightweight, and I will put this in the class of basses I have played costing 2-5 times more. No set up issues currently, but I am relearning after a 20+ year break from years of weekend gigging. The included bag is fine, but offers little protection. The stock strings have the feel of much higher cost ones as well. Overall, I will give this a five for the money, ...

This is the first guitar kit I have ever built and was truly impressed with how well the wood was prepared, very little sanding was required. Quality of the wood was great, beautiful grain without any chips, nicks, or damage from shipping. As with all kits the electrical components are of lower quality, this is how they are able to sell this product at the price point they do. For a starter guitar the components are fine and can easily be upgraded as you progress in your ability.

I love the guitar kits by this company, great for beginners. the most important things to keep in mind while building is 1. Make sure to use the video as a resource for instructions, and 2. make sure to adjust the bridge. It sounds decent and looks great with just wood or if you decide to customize it.

This is a kick butt kit to learn the basics of guitar setup. And it sounds good even with the supplied pickups. You can swap in some better stuff and have a really nice tight playable good looking guitar. It's real value for the price.

The 170 is my 5th Glarry Guitar I have the GIB 4 string Bass, The GTL Maple Fretboard, The GST-E Lightning Style and a Burning Fire, All are good well Built with nice finishes. They all have a great sound to them. However, my new 170 has a problem with the neck. The distance from the Big E string to the end of the fret is almost nonexistent and when I play bar cords the E string will try to roll of the fretboard. I don't think this is something I can Fix, other than replace the Neck. It has a go ...

I was very surprised on how much I enjoy this bass. For the price you can't go wrong. It's perfect to just sit around and jam. With the built-in tuner it makes is nice to tune on the fly. So far I'm very pleased with this instrument.

Great job love the quality and sound! It's definitely 1000 times better than anything First Act guitars have ever built. If you have mechanical skills then this is a simple project. May have small issues but with carpenters skills it's nothing to fear. I will definitely be buying more. Great way to supplement any income.

I guess I was expecting a little better guitar than what I got. First off the neck had a bow in it and it was unfinished the frets were sticking out on the sides so I had to shim the neck and then take the nut off and trim that down some send it down just to get the strings close enough to the neck to where it was halfway playable just shoddy workmanship. I will never order from Glarry again.

GMF guitar arrived quickly and well packaged...but it will need some work to be playable. The biggest issues are sprouting frets with sharp edges along the entire fretboard, and the nut is cut way too high on the low E and A strings, so that even when open strings are in tune, fretted notes are very sharp on the first 5-6 frets. I adjusted the saddle heights down to try to minimize, and the neck is fairly straight, and the other 4 strings intonate well, so i believe it's the nut, not at the bri ...

Update: Lynn from Glarry reached out quickly and courteously to address my concerns. I appreciate that Glarry works to ensure customer satisfaction. After some work (filing frets and nut) and a fresh set of strings, it's playing better! It's a fine looking, light guitar with 24" scale that's benefitted from some extra care.

This Guitar was my 3rd Glarry Guitar. It's a Good Guitar was set up well from day one. The Action is good and the sound I get from it is Great. Only change I made to this one is changed the Strings to D'Addarios EXL 120 42-9 Fun Guitar to Play.

Absolutely incredible bass for the money. Ive been playing guitar for 35+ yrs and needed an inexpensive bass for home recording. It was packaged nicely and only required an intonation tweak on the low E. Finish is beautiful its way lighter than i expected (though i was using an d peavey t40) Couldnt be happier with this purchase

Sounds great, but would recommend replacing stock strings. Beautiful guitar, built in tuner is a plus, and its acoustic electric. It's a full sized guitar the bass sounds great, and the highs aren't so bad I've played 30 plus songs on it the tuners take a bit to settle in you will be retuning the first 2 weeks a lot. Recommend getting a capo, hilariously it comes with an additional head tuner lol use that on my uke. Comes with all the basics, picks tuner strap extra set of stock strings gig bag ...

The action is on so that I was pleased right away. No need to adjust anything as the intonation is on as well. After tuning and breaking in the stock strings I was enthralled at the playability of this inexpensive strat style guitar. I played in clean mode with the neck pick up and I found inspiration that comes with guitars costing 5 times more than this. Shipping was fast as well. I am a happy Glarry customer. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this kit was considering the price. The wood is nice and everything seems to fit well. I am in the process of putting a beautiful finish on the wood. I am looking forward completing it.
