Strings not wound correctly on tuner posts, which will affect the bass staying in tune.
So I am happy with my purchase of this Bass, it does have some issues. It does however look good, have playabilty (reasonable string height) and it works when plugged it. Now for the cons:1) The neck has an indentation on the treble side around the 11th - 12 fret but, doesn't effect the sound or playabilty2) There is a tiny gauge in the pic guard which I could care less about3) It has GLarry on the head stock. also I bought a set of black tuners and the top peg snapped off of one.
I purchased the space somewhere around the beginning of covid not one or two months later the top piece that holds the strings on the base snapped I tried for months to get a hold of garry unsuccessfully. All I would like is to get my base fixed or something to that effect it's been nearly two years thanks guys

The reason for the 3 star review is that my bass arrived with a bent tuner on the "G" string and I am unable to get the "lobe " of the tuner to set properly. This made tunning a little difficult because I started with the "E" string and worked my way down but when I tuned the "G" string the lobe of the tuner would hit the tuner for the "D" string, so I had to back off the "D" sting so I could tune the "G" string and then tune the "D" string again. The rest of the base looks pretty good and I may update my review later.

Update 7/18/2022 I was contacted by Glarry and initially requested a replacement for the broken tuner, Glarry instead offered a $10.00 refund so I could replace the tuner. I replied that I would prefer they send a new tuner so it would match the existing tuners. For reasons unknown to me Glarry did not want to send a tuner so I found a set of tuners on Amazon for $20.00 so Glarry refunded that amount. This was definitely a great purchase for the price. The amp has a "drive" effect that is a little bit rough to listen to, but it's as simple as turning it off. Other than that, I'm satisfied. No damage, all pieces present, and it looks great.
I purchased this guitar back on Sept. 2020. I had my tech guy set it up for me and it played good. although the high E string kept coming out of the saddle and hanging over the fretboard. I put some Rev. Willy super thin strings on it and it stays in tune and plays like smooth as a hot knife through butter. Thank Glarry for making affordable musical instruments for the working poor people like me!
I normally am apprehensive on any discount guitar simply because the "standard" is usually considerably more. And that in some ways still holds true. But if you want to play and you don't have hundreds to drop on an entry level guitar, this one exceeds expectations. Bought for my son to start learning and he loves it. He wanted a red Strat and being 6 I didn't want to buy a pricey unit to start. This was the cheapest guitar on the website and I am still smiling at the choice. It feels solid, neck allows for good fret progression and allows for smooth transition. One thing I am very impressed with is that it holds tuning. Very rare in this price point. It could use finishing touches like tightening screws on the pick ups and smoother fret wires, but nothing to deny it's value and favorable playability. For the price it still wins the day. If I had extra money I would try their Telecaster version for myself, that is how impressed I am. Keep improving the product, you're on the right track to introduce more people to music. Thank you Glarry for the better than expected guitar. You made my kids day.
I like the guitar a lot. It has good points and bad points. You've done many things right on this guitar and it has been a very good starting point to modify for improvement for what I need as an experienced guitarist. I will list he changes I made, and comment some about them afterward.

2. I made a bone nut and filed the slots for very good action. I understand that it would make the guitar expensive for you to do this, so I expected to do it.
3. I reshaped the heel of the neck so that upper access was improved. It is now like a very good quality Fender guitar in that respect.
4. I reshaped the headstock like a Telecaster, and really appreciate that you made the headstock plenty big for that to be possible.
5. I replaced the input jack because all imports need good jacks if one plays a lot.
6. I bored a 7/8" hole through the jack plate hole 6" deep to insert a lead slug to add weight at the extreme rear of the guitar to solve the neck heaviness.
7. Deburred bridge plate. High E was breaking
8. Cut down saddle screws
9. I moved the bridge plate toward the neck 0.43 inches so that the pickup is correctly distanced from the saddles when intonated properly.
It is unfortunate that you changed the placement of the bridge plate from the original position. It was correctly placed before, and it appears you chaged where you put it to accommodate the too long screws used for the 3 saddles. You had to change the routing for the pickup in the body. I rerouted a suitable hole and now all is well. Another nice thing about having the bridge plate in the right place is it fits in the pickguard recess just right.
I do not hear a need to change the electronics. They sound just fine. I love the body wood, and the neck wood
Also the frets ends are angled too much, and the truss rod access had to be carved out to use the wrench.
I'd been casually looking for a "used" fretless bass for a while......and then I found this one NEW at a price that made it an attractive option. I read the reviews that I could find....and decided to give it go. It is ultra light weight...which is a plus and a minus... it is a bit neck heavy and wants to neck dive a little. Not having any "fret lines" is inconvenient and makes things a little challenging, but... it really isn't as hard to play in tune as I had anticipated.... as long as I am playing along with another melodic instrument to gauge my intonation. Playing only with a drum track.... not so good with my imperfect sense of pitch. The body was listed as "basswood".... and after a little research, I believe this is actually Paulownia or wood from the Empress Tree which is prevalent in China where these are manufactured...and matches the grain structure on the guitar.... unlike the grain structure of basswood. Light duty hardware in looks, but it is doing a great job as of the writing of this review.

Won this guitar in a contest. Came with heavy gauge strings. Ordering new extra light ones. Intonation is slightly off on a few strings, but WAY off on the lower E string. Don't know if a luthier can fix it. Pickup is microphonic so it feeds back pretty quick, but tone controls are very effective. Overall, a nice sounding guitar if it can be properly set up. Thinking about re-tuning to Hawaiian slack key. Will re-post if I do.

We needed a number of inexpensive instruments for the music room at our new office space, and Glarry was selected based on their prices & reviews.

Overall, for the price, this is a good instrument. Upon getting the bass the neck was bowed quite a bit, couldn't play it this way. But I did the typical new guitar setup on it and all is good now with playability.
My only legitimate complaint is with the pups/electronics. The bridge pup doesn't put out sound, even with the volume knob maxed, until the volume on the neck pup is turned up. First I want to say that the finish on the Burlywood just fantastic. However when I received the guitar I found that the neck was off center to the right and the high E string at the 15th fret was almost off the neck. I contacted Glarry and they did respond to a possible fix. That did not work. They then suggested I take it to a Luthier and they would pay up to the cost of the guitar. After realigning the neck and tighten the tuners the guitar played really well. Glarry did give me a 5 percent off on my next purchase for the trouble I went though. I do have 3 other Glarry guitars and they were received in perfect condition. Really need to watch that final inspection.
I was very impressed with this acoustic , I play on it everyday, One of the best purchases I have ever made to be perfectly honest...
I would very much love to become a glarry artist!!!!! all my guitars are glarry except for 2 but I really do enjoy the sounds they project.
Received this today. Appearance is nice. Bass plays fine after some adjustments, fret board is too long, second knob doesn't stop turning, doesn't have the other lock nut for the strap. The amp isn't good at all.

I've been playing acoustic rhythm guitar for almost 15 years, and I recently decided to pick up the electric and REALLY learn how to play the guitar. It's still an awesome instrument, especially for beginners. Definitely recommended!
The bass came super quick. I'll need to do a little adjustment, but it played pretty well the way it was out of the box. The amp is a pretty nice little practice amp. I really didn't need the amp, but it's light weight. Sounds great. This makes my 3rd Glarry bass purchased. As with all my Glarry basses, I'll put it up with my other high end basses.
Actually very pleased for the money on these, they arrived and are very light wieght, much lighter than my gold top gretch and playable out of the box, sound good but both with a personality of their own, I own many
higher end guitars, and find these to be a fav go to anyway, also bought a 5 string bass, and black laquor tele, that havent arrived yet, Thanks glarry

Issue was resolved. Really appreciate the customer service!
This bass is great. There was something that was way off. First the tuners were installed in a hap hazard manner as shown by the picture below. Apparently the bass was hit in the factory before it was boxed up as the G tuner shaft was bent and the tuner was hitting the D tuner. On my Glarry GJ, they are installed with proper spacing.
The bass, after setup and adjustment, plays very well.
Very pleased with our purchase. This bass guitar sounds ds great, looks awesome, and compares favorably with instruments which cost hundreds of dollars more. Garry kicks axe!!!
Guitar arrived well packed and in perfect condition. Everything works as intended, needed very little set up. Looks great. Thanks I'll probably buy more but shouldn't (I already have 10 guitars.) Can you have too many?
I really love the body style, the candy apple red w/ black hardware looks awesome, sadly when I received my bass there was obvious damage to the neck where it bolts on, there are fairly large gaps around the between the neck and the body, the fretboard had a chunk of wood hanging from it at the very end. Glarry please look into the wiring issues that seem to be prevalent on this instrument. I was able to play this bass on Rocksmith but could not get it loud enough to calibrate during tuning so I had to manually override the gain to max 10db in the settings and the accuracy was excellent while playing.
Very nice product craftsmanship on the body was excellent neck is straight.
