The bass came super quick. I'll need to do a little adjustment, but it played pretty well the way it was out of the box. The amp is a pretty nice little practice amp. I really didn't need the amp, but it's light weight. Sounds great. This makes my 3rd Glarry bass purchased. As with all my Glarry basses, I'll put it up with my other high end basses.
This is the first bass I've purchased. I got the burning fire sunburst bass/amp combo for 187$ Shipped! I Assumed and was willing to do a little work to the guitar because that's a great deal. have played guitar for years. Decided I wanted a bass but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I placed my order on a Wednesday night at 8 pm Pacific time and recieved my bass the following Saturday at 1:30 pm. Pretty dang fast for free shipping!!! When I recieved the bass it was in perfect condition. Very nice finish, no sharp fret edges, Al electronics in working order. The only adjustments I made we're the low E and A saddles. I raised them a little to get rid of some string buzz and tuned it. I am extremely impressed by what I recieved vs what I paid. If you're like me and looking for your first bass and want a quality instrument but don't want to break the bank. Then this deal is for you.
I've been playing bass for over 50 years and have owned and built probably 60 instruments. I prefer 5 string with a low B and am partial to a Fender jazz style 2 pickup passive configuration. I got my Glarry last week, unboxed it , and immediately removed the neck and pulled the frets off. Yep, I'm a fretless dude, upright and electric and yes, both 5 string. Sanded and filled the fingerboard slots, dyed it and oiled the board and then restrung the bass with some D'Addario half rounds. No, I don't recommend you get one and immediately alter it ,but I knew what sound I was looking for and this Glarry nails it. And for $140 shipped??? Can not be beat!! And the craftsmanship is pretty damn good:)
My New Glarry G Jazz Bass Was Great Right Out Of The Box. No Adjustments Were Needed And Of Course Like All My Other Glarry Instruments, No User Upgrades Are Needed. No Need To Modify My Bass Or Buy More Expensive Parts to Fit On It. I'm Sure It Will Keep Playing Great and Last A Long Time Just As It Comes From Glarry. As a drummer who decided to dabble on learning a new instrument, this was a great, affordable option. I had already purchased a decent Jackson bass guitar within my budget, and this was kind of an added bonus as I needed a practice amp and it just happened to come with some extras (including a 2nd bass guitar). As some reviewers stated, the frets are not rounded off which does cause minor cuts to the hand (but no bloodshed, and I've been playing for hours). As some reviewers stated, the frets are not rounded off which does cause minor cuts to the hand (but no bloodshed, and I've been playing for hours). The guitar is very out of tune out of the box but as a beginner, I was able to use this as an opportunity to learn how to do relative tuning and got it sounding pretty good. It's a beautiful finish on the guitar and there were no damage issues with the contents although my box was a little damaged which is expected in transport. The amp alone makes this worth the money for me and it sounds great at low volumes and even at highest volume… honestly, the bad reviews I read seemed like they were from seasoned bass players who were looking to tear this item apart. I would say if you're a beginner, or someone who's never played bass, this is the best option for your money. I have been playing between both of my guitars for 3 weeks now and am happy with my purchase.
5 string bass in burley wood.
Fit and finish first class. Unbelievably light. Fantastic value for money. Mine played very badly out of the box, with the neck seemingly overdone on the truss rod. Relaxed that a turn, set intonation and saddles and it's pretty good now imo. Think it would benefit from having some frets filed a bit. But all in all it's excellent for the money. I could spend 3-4 times as much for the next up cheap 5 string, but I doubt it would play better and I bet it would be sig ...5 string bass in burley wood.

Very nice Bass.Almost unbelievable at the price.Purchased as a birthday gift and she loves it.I'm amazed at the whole thing!Shipping was right on time!
This bass is great. There was something that was way off. First the tuners were installed in a hap hazard manner as shown by the picture below. Apparently the bass was hit in the factory before it was boxed up as the G tuner shaft was bent and the tuner was hitting the D tuner. You have since replaced the tuners but the installation in the head stock. The space between the tuners is hap hazard, from E to A, 1/4 inch, from A to D, 3/8 inch, and from D to G, 1/16 inch.inch. On my Glarry GJ, they are installed with proper spacing.
The bass, after setup and adjustment, plays very well.
Very pleased with our purchase. This bass guitar sounds ds great, looks awesome, and compares favorably with instruments which cost hundreds of dollars more. Garry kicks axe!!!
I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bass, especially considering the cost. The amp is not grounded and does tend to hum excessively, but for relearning after over four decades off from traveling with a band it's great. I was also impressed that it came with round wound strings on it - back in the 1970's the Rickenbacker 4001 and the Fender Jazz bass I played came with flat wound strings that had to be switched out.
Bought for my son to learn bass guitar. He loves it! His instructor said it was a good guitar for lessons. I would recommend!Good quality and budget friendly.
Learning bass guitars do make you stand out from the crowd. The lead guitar usually expresses the face and sound of the band with an exaggerated feel, but behind it is a bass guitar that brings vitality to the same band. The bass player usually calmly performs his own performance, making the entire band's energetic heartbeat continue to beat.
Playing a electric bass guitar is easy to learn, but it's hard to master, it all depends on where you want to match. Bass guitars are very easy to get started, most people can master the basics and start playing right away, but learning best bass guitars can also be very advanced, because it is an easy-to-use instrument that can be almost as infinite as possible. The right quality of the correct tuning and playing bass guitar and the richness of the rich tones are truly fascinating. Being a bass guitar player and being able to create such a sound yourself is still a much more exciting.
