FUN! This set arrived in a massive box that was dropped by the FedEx guy right as he got to my front door!?! It really should have been strapped to the roller but it wasn't. I was a bit worried that something may have been broken upon arrival. He said it weighed WAY more than listed. I rolled the EXTREMELY HEAVY box end over end up my stairs and got it into my bedroom/studio. Everything was packed well and came out like a Russian doll with the small rack tom in the middle rack tom which was in the floor tom which was in the bass drum, heads layered on top and hardware boxed to the side with only the snare coming pre-assembled. Everything was unbroken and the only thing I noticed was a slightly dented lug that may or may not have been from the fall. I've played electric drums for some time now and was ready to upgrade to analog/acoustic. I'm having a really great time with this set and would gladly recommend it to anyone beginning, seasoned players, or anyone on a budget. The heads sound awesome, fittings and hardware are all very stable and there is no extraneous vibration after assembly. I added two extra cymbal stands, some Zildjian S performers, my own Mapex throne and left everything else stock. The snare didn't want to stop rattling after hits so I adjusted the tension which led to the plastic holders slipping. Replacing the plastic snare holders is a must, or even just replacing the snares on the bottom of the drum entirely to suit your tastes. The snare drum sounds great alone, though. The hi-hat stand spring was not strong enough to hold up the top hi-hat so I added tension and it now works perfectly. I have played it for several hours now and am very, very pleased with this purchase. I am a bit surprised at how high quality this set is for the price! GO GLARRY!
