The bridge must be installed by the user but it is not difficult to do. The tuning likes to slip a little bit right out of the box, but I imagine/hope this will probably improve with time as the strings get used to their stretched length. Unlike the smaller size violin, this was easier to cover it with rosin and start producing a sound on the strings.
I think the sound is not bad. It's obviously not going to be as good as a very expensive violin, but it seems perfectly adequate to learn on, and I'm satisfied with the purchase.

They say you get what you pay for, but I feel I got much more than that with this bundle. This is a fantastic beginner violin or even just something to have around to fiddle around on.
